Passionate, dedicated, and extremely personable, Dr. Anoup Nandra makes the quest for a beautiful smile both successful and fun. His love for people is matched only by his energy and enthusiasm for dentistry. Dr. Nandra relishes opportunity and challenge, and he will work with unparalleled commitment to help each patient achieve his or her dental goals.
After graduating from the University of Birmingham with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Dr. Nandra pursued his dental training in London. Deeply committed to continuing education, Dr. Nandra constantly enhances his knowledge by participating in courses throughout the world. He has completed certificate training in Implantology at the world famous centre for clinical excellence in dentistry - "The Eastman" in London along with numerous other oral surgery and implantology courses. His training in cosmetic dentistry is mainly from the USA where Dr Nandra was an active member of "The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry". Dr Nandra has been awarded both the "Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners" and the "Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties" qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons (MFGDP RCS & MJDF RCS). He is currently midway through a three year program with the Royal College of Surgeons to obtain a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry an on an educational pathway towards an MSc in Restorative Dentistry. His active role in continuing his studies has kept him abreast of the latest advances in the dental field.
Aside from his own education, Dr. Nandra enjoys teaching others. Part of his working week is spent teaching undergraduate students at the University of Birmingham as a part-time clinical lecturer. In 2007, Dr Nandra was approved as a "Vocational Trainer". This prestigious appointment requires Dr Nandra to help train and mentor newly qualified dentists from Edgbaston Dental Centre. In 2008 Dr Nandra was approved as a mentor for the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) allowing him to help and tutor dentists requesting advice and support in the field of implantology.
After graduating, Dr Nandra was invited to work in London and spent his formative years completing his training and gaining valuable experience in cosmetic dentistry. He returned to Birmingham to join Edgbaston Dental Centre as an associate dental surgeon. After radically re-defining the direction the practice should take, Dr Nandra was offered partnership in the surgery. Now as Joint Principle he continues to drive the surgery forward with his unique vision.
Dr Nandra maintains the care of patients from many different areas. He is proud to include as his patients international sport stars along with many television celebrities.
Dr. Nandra is privileged to work with many master technicians and ceramists. Their collaboration over the years has produced a genuine friendship and a passion for cosmetics that is evident and unique in each and every case. Together they have partnered over the years and have created thousands of new smiles for our patients.
Dr. Nandra is an active participant in the dental community. He is a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Association of Dental Implantology, the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry and the British Society of Restorative Dentistry. He is also involved in many west midlands study clubs and dental organisations.
Dr. Nandra is a native of Birmingham. He currently resides in Hagley.
